With the cutting needle biopsies performed percutaneously (by entering through the skin) and guided by imaging methods such as ultrasonography and tomography, samples can be taken from almost all parts of our body, except the brain, spinal cord, stomach and intestines. For this, the experience of the practicing physician, good imaging (such as ultrasound, tomography, MRI, PET-CT) and the application of some manipulations such as liquid-air injection are very important. In the examples below, some rare biopsy cases that we performed in our department are presented. These examples show how wide the application area of percutaneous needle biopsy actually is and how beneficial it is to patients.
